How to get familiar with any field of study ?

Introduction

Hello, my name is Kiara and I have a very interesting video for you guys today. I'm currently a student at Cegep Montmorency and I'm studying in Natural Sciences. It's a great program, because it can give a lot of options for futur fields of study. I have been in this program for two and a half years and soon will be applying to University in Kinesiology. After a year of studying this program, I will transfer in Physiotherapy.

Like everybody, I want to look professional in my field of study and I dont want to lose credibility.

To solve this issue, I will show you how to get familiar with keywords related to your field of study.

I have gotten a knee surgery and went through physiotherapy for a whole year to get back to my sport. Because of this, it has inspired me to become a physiotherapist to help others, that are like me, get back to their sport.

My goal is to help and solve this issue as simple as possible using a great web page that will help you get familiar with your field of study.

This will only take 3 to 4 minutes, so please stay with me for this simple tutorial.

You guys will be surprised by how easy it is to use the website I will be talking about.

The Problem

There are many words that are simple, but also complicated that are used in this field of study. You have to write notes to the doctor or explain exercises clearly to your patient. You need to know how to use these key words effectively.

If you can't use these words or don't understand them, the patients or doctors might think you lack credibility. You need to look professional when you are in your field of study.

For example, you need to write a note to the doctor about the progress of your patient, but you have trouble writing and explaining the message you need to get through.

I have the perfect solution. I will show you an easy way to get rid of this problem. The solution is to find you field related vocabulary and you can create a glossary if you desire.

The Quest

The first step is to open your browser and type in the address bar the URL, TheVirtualWritingTutor. This page should show up

In the top right corner, you will see these icons if you desire to share this website on social media.
In the middle of the screen, you will see this text area to write what you need to be corrected.
On top of the text area, you will see the navigation menu.
On the bottom left under the text area, there is the submit button to check the grammar.

The Solution

Here is how you will create your field related glossary.
You will need to create a profile in the virtual writing tutor. In the navigation menu, click on profile and create yours.
Click on the top to add a new tab and write in the address bar the URL for Wikipedia.
In the search area, write your field of study, select some of the texte and copy it.
Go back to the virtual writing tutor tab and paste the select text in the text area in the middle of the screen.
On the too right of the text area, you will click on the check vocabulary button.
Your related field of study words will be organised.
Click on the top right to show more details.
Scroll down till you get to the field related vocabulary.
If you desire to have more words, repeat these steps, but you will need to select more text in the Wikipedia web page.

The Conclusion

This tutorial is not only for my field of study, but is useful for any kind.
